Anton Baranov

 
     
 

 

Anton Baranov (Russia, 1984) graduated from the famous St. Petersburg State Rimsky-Korsakov Conservatory in 2010 under grants from the Russian Ministry of Culture and the Russian Performing Arts Foundation. He is a prizewinner of more then 15 major international guitar competitions all around the world,includingthe Koblenz Guitar Competition, Andrés Segovia Competition, AgustínBarrios Competition, and Pittaluga Guitar Competition. In 2013, he won both the Guitar Foundation of America International Concert Artist Competitionand the Francisco Tárrega Competition. In 2014-2015, Anton Baranov will embark on concert tours throughout the United States and Europe. His first album will soon be released on the Naxos label. He has been a D'Addario artist since 2013, and currently teaches at his alma mater, the St. Petersburg Conservatory.

Jure Cerkovnik

 
 

 

Jure Cerkovnik (Slovenia, 1990) is a young Slovenian classical guitarist. He graduated classical guitar in 2013 from Universität für Musik und darstellende Kunst in Vienna (Austria) in class of distinguished guitarist and pedagogue Alvaro Pierri, where he is currently a postgraduate student. He participated on many national and international music competitions and won 17 first, second and special prizes, among which are several prizes won on some of the most important competitions in Europe such as Forrum Wien competition in Vienna (Austria) and Anna Amalia competition in Weimar (Germany). He is current first prize holder of Slovenian national music competition. In April 2013 he won first prize on Sarajevo International Guitar Festival competition, and was given an opportunity to participate on world’s biggest guitar competition Guitar Foundation of America held in June 2013 in Louisville (USA), where he was one of the 12 best competitors. He performed in many parts of Europe (Italy, France, Germany, Austria, Czech Republic, Serbia, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Slovenia) and in the United States of America. He has also performed as a soloist with several orchestras, Symphonic orchestra Simfonika from Vrhnika (Slovenia), and Sarajevo philharmonic orchestra under the baton of Austrian conductor Ralph Kircher. He has made many recordings for archive of RTV Slovenia. His repertoire is consisted of numerous pieces from different epochs, from Renaissance and Baroque, to contemporary guitar pieces of 20th and 21st century.

Boris Tešić

 
 

 

Boris Tešić was born in 1983 in Tuzla, Bosnia and Herzegovina. At age 9, his musical education starts with attending Primary music school in Tuzla, with the professor Predrag Stanković. In year 2000., after graduating Music Highshool in Tuzla as the best student of the generation, he goes to Royal College of Music in London, and he studies with professor Gary Ryan. After studies in London, he moved to study at Musikconservatorium in Maastricht aith professor Carlo Marchione, where he finished his master degree with 10 cum laude grade. In 2009 he moves to Kassel where he studies with professor Michael Tröster.
In 1995, at age 11, he had his first concert in Tuzla. Since then, he has performed accross Europe and USA. He performed at festivals: Forum Gitarre Wien, Bath Guitar Festival, London Guitar Festival, Edinburgh Guitar Festival, Dundee Guitar festival, also in Royal Festival Hall, Bolivar Hall and at the UN building in New York. He also performed with orchestras in Slovenia, Spain and Montenegro.
Boris Tešić competed at many competitions in Europe. His results were: First places in Czech Republic, Germany, England, Austria and Montenegro; Second places in Germany and Italy; Third places in Slovakia, Portugal, France, and Bosnia and Herzegovina. He was in the final round of „Francisco Tarrega“ competition in Beniacassimo, Spain.
Trough master-classes, he worked with H. Käppel, P.Saidl, J,Williams, S.Assad and others.
His teachin carrer he started as a associate professor at Music Academy of East Sarajevo in 2004. After moving to Kassel, he worked in music schools in Korbach and Bad Arlosen. Since April 2013, he works as a professor at Mucis Academy „Louis Spohr“ in Kassel.
His debut-CD „Nummer eins“ was produced in 2010 by Thorofon, with pieces of Bach, Aguado, Rodrigo, Guiliani and Henze.
In 2013, new CD „Fun and Passion“ is produced, performed by guitar duo Hercules (B. Tešić and M. Troster) with pieces of Assad, Angulo, Troster, Tedeco, Hand, Ponce and Gnatalli.

Matthew McAllister

 
 

 

Matthew McAllister (Scotland) is widely regarded as one of the most exciting and talented classical guitarists in Europe. He studied at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music & Drama, with Allan Neave. Since graduating in 2003, he has enjoyed continued success and is a regular performer and educator at classical guitar festivals and concert series worldwide. He has performed at major venues across the world such as The Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, The Purcell Room in London, Teatro Britanico in Lima, The Sage in Gateshead, Cenart in Mexico City, Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, Eugene O’Neil Theater in San Jose and Dom Armije in Sarajevo to name a few.  He has toured extensively throughout North and South America, Canada, Europe and Asia both as a soloist and chamber musician, and has also produced an extensive discography with Natural Studio Records. As an educator Matthew McAllister holds the posts of classical guitar tutor and lecturer in music at the University of St Andrews and Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, and on most recently established Classical Guitar Retreat which presents a residential summer course on the Island of Cumbrae off the West Coast of Scotland.

Paco Seco

 
 

 

Pacoseco is a versatile and creative musician. His first teacher was Chico de Melchor, with whom he learned traditional flamenco. He continued his flamenco education with Rafael Riqueni, Andrés Batista and Antonio Bonilla. Besides flamenco, he also studied classical guitar with Emilio Carrión, and later with David Russell, Abel Carlevaro, Leo Brouwer, José Tomas and Roland Dyens. Throughout his career he studied and performed different kinds of music from classical, flamenco, medieval to jazz and contemporary music. He has also studied musical electronics, film and TV music and music production. He won numerous prizes on several guitar competitions and received the honorary prize from the Conservatorio Superior de Música in Sevilla. He has performed on many famous festivals and in places such as National Theatre of London, Porto Antico in Geneva, Centro Cultural in Belém in Lisbon, on Fête de la Musique in Tangier, Circulo de Bellas Artes in Madrid, Buitengewoon Festival Doetinchem, on the beaches of Varkala in Kerala (India), on Festival Internacional de Música y Danza in Granada, Circól Maldá in Barcelona and the Real Alcázar in Seville. He has played in countries such as Spain, Portugal, France, Italy, England, the Netherlands, Morocco, India and Bosnia and Herzegovina. As a composer, he won several awards and participated on Workshop in Sarajevo 99, where he participated in creating new pieces of music for the Biennale de Giovanni 2000 in Rome. Through the Azuleomar project created in Barcelona, Pacoseco brought together the sounds of flamenco and world music genres. He composed music for video creations, short films, dance and theatre. Up until now he has recorded twelve CD´s, with various genres, from baroque to contemporary, including jazz influenced pieces and world music. He also showed great interest in electronic music through several projects among which are Cine-Oído/Pacoseco (his collaboration with the Slovene double-bassist Sandi Kragelj) and project with electronic music duo Tensión Co.
