Antero Pellikka

Antero Pellikka (born in 1988) is a Finnish guitarist. He had his first guitar at the age of 7 and soon after that he started his guitar studies at Juvenalia Music Institute under the guidance of Esko Virtanen. After graduating from music institute Pellikka studied with Petri Kumela at the Helsinki Conservatory and Metropolia University of Applied Studies. Currently he is completing his Master’s degree at the Royal Conservatoire in the Hague under the guidance of Zoran Dukic and at Sibelius Academy in Helsinki with Jukka Savijoki.
To complement his studies Pellikka has attended masterclasses with such teachers as Marcin Dylla, Ricardo Gallén, Aléx Garrobé, José Antonio Escobar and many others. He is also involved in chamber music in various ensembles as well as variety of contemporary music projects.
In the recent years Pellikka has also being active in the early music field. He is currently studying Baroque guitar with Mike Fentross in the Hague and playing in various ensembles. In the last few years he has had a close relationship with the music of H.I.F. Biber arranging his Rosary Sonatas for the guitar.
